Welcome to the very first edition of Feed the Funnel!

As CMO of Nutré, I've helped grow it into an 8-figure brand by building funnels that actually convert. I've spent millions on ads and know exactly what moves the needle.

I've also helped consulting clients generate tens of thousands in revenue using these same strategies.

But here's what frustrates me:

🥡 This Week’s Funnel Feed

What we tested:

This week we tested running our ads direct to our homepage instead of a landing page.

We have a CRO team and the data showed that our homepage was converting customers better than our main lander so we set up a redirect to all traffic to go straight to our main website.

What happened:

It’s still early to tell but we have seen a boost in CVR direct from Facebook ads.

One thing to note is we haven’t run a direct A/B test with the same ads.

We just launched our new tests with the link being our homepage.

Why it worked:

Our best guess is for our business, people just want to see the menu.

Market awareness is high and people just want to see what we offer so going direct to the homepage is probably limiting fatigue.

Our homepage is also far better than it was before. It almost looks like a landing page.

How to try it:

If you’re in a high market awareness industry then try send traffic directly to your homepage. Just make sure it’s optimized for conversions.

🧂 Underrated Tactic

Direct mail.

We landed a HUGE client with a simple mailer.

This was for our B2B arm of Nutré but it is still an underrated channel.

Too many marketers are trying to win on paid social.

And that’s the hardest place to win.

And that’s for 2 reasons:

  1. The best marketers are there

  2. There is content overload

I always think of Gary Vee when it comes to this.

You want to be platform agnostic.

I don’t care which platform is popping.

I care about whatever gives the best ROI.
