A little bit of a different newsletter today, trying some new formats today.

What's been top of mind, or in general, what's been top of mind is that if you aren't delivering an immense amount of value to the business you work for, I'm sorry, but the truth is, you're going to be replaced by AI.

I think right now, the bar for great work has changed drastically because AI can produce pretty great work or work that's pretty close to the final product way faster than any employee could.

The issue is a lot of people are lazy and a lot of employees just want to clock in and clock out, do the bare minimum, and just do whatever their employer says to do.

But the real truth is, you need to do whatever your employer tells you to do and then go 20, 30% above that, at least.

If you're going to make it and survive, otherwise, you're going to get laid off, just like you're seeing with all these major job cuts.

The real question you need to ask yourself is, can your boss or your company live without you?

If not, then you're in a good position.

If they can get rid of you tomorrow, then you're not delivering anywhere near as much value.
