🔍 FUNNEL VISION
People think A players are control freaks.
They're dead wrong.
Here's what nobody tells you about A players:
They're not trying to control everything.
They've been burned.
Every time they passed the ball to a B player who missed?
They stopped passing.
It's not ego.
It's pattern recognition.
But here's the flip:
Watch what happens when A players find OTHER A players.
LeBron, Wade, Bosh → 2 championships.
Garnett, Pierce, Ray Allen → Championship.
Brady, Gronk, Edelman → Dynasty.
The "ball hog" suddenly becomes the most generous passer on the court.
Because trust changes everything.
Brady KNEW Edelman would catch it. So he threw it.
LeBron KNEW Wade could finish. So he passed it.
The business lesson?
Your A players don't need to "learn to delegate."
They need teammates worth delegating TO.
Stop hiring B and C players and wondering why your best people micromanage.
Build a roster of A players.
Watch the "control freak" become your most generous leader.
What's the best hire you ever made that changed how you lead?
🥡 THIS WEEK'S FUNNEL FEED
Part of our 2026 growth strategy is expanding more heavily into newer markets. For example, Pennsylvania is one of the key markets that we're going to be growing this year. To do that, you have to craft a full funnel strategy to be able to really create awareness in that market.
The way that I think about this is creating a marketing flywheel. All your different marketing ammunition should work together. For us, that flywheel starts with getting content from different types of influencers. This can be food bloggers, athletes, and local publications. That allows us to take that content and not only post it on organic social, but also do ads and specifically whitelisting ads where we run those videos through that creator's handle.
Now more than ever, we're really leaning into a campaign-focused marketing strategy instead of just doing a bunch of stuff at once. We're really trying to focus on a single campaign and a single message to help saturate that market.
We're really looking forward to gathering data and seeing what works with our audience best, and then tweaking as we go into newer markets
🍱 THIS WEEK'S CONTENT BUFFET
These are some pieces of content that I felt inspired to write about.
Everything pretty much sounds like a good idea, but a lot of the time these ideas don't really make that much of an impact.
Just because someone else is doing something doesn't mean you need to do it too.
A lot of the times the best way to handle idea overload is to ask the question above: "So what?"
Just because a competitor is doing something doesn't mean you need to do it too.
As Nutré grows and the team gets bigger, it's very easy to get into a trap of meeting overload and having too many cooks in the kitchen.
It's great to have a bigger team and to have more people helping, but a lot of the time it actually slows things down when you have too many people trying to make decisions and move the direction forward.
That's why it's so important to have a clear leader and a clear visionary behind each major department at your company.
🧪 AI SECRET SAUCE
Tool/Prompt I'm Using: Manus AI with built-in Nanobanana integration to go from messy voice notes to boardroom-ready presentations in 15 minutes - I've completely killed PowerPoint and will never touch it again because this is faster, better-looking, and actually makes decks people want to read.
Step 1: Voice-to-Deck Brain Dump: • Record a voice note explaining your presentation (walking to a meeting, in the car, wherever) • "Hey Manus, I need a deck on our Q1 marketing strategy: current performance, what's working, what's not, new initiatives, budget breakdown" • Upload to Manus and prompt: "Turn this voice note into a 12-slide strategy deck" • AI transcribes, structures, and organizes your rambling into a coherent narrative flow
Step 2: Nanobanana Visual Generation: • Instead of searching stock photo sites for generic business imagery, Nanobanana creates custom visuals that actually match your content • Prompt examples: "Create a visual showing growth trajectory," "Generate an image representing market expansion," "Make a metaphor for team alignment" • Gets imagery that's relevant, on-brand, and doesn't look like every other corporate deck • No more awkward stock photos of people shaking hands in suits
Step 3: Auto-Design & Layout: • Manus structures slides with proper hierarchy (not 47 bullet points on one slide) • Automatically suggests charts, graphs, and data visualizations from your numbers • Creates consistent design language across the entire deck (colors, fonts, spacing) • Generates slide transitions and layouts that actually look professional, not like you're stuck in 2012
Step 4: Rapid Iteration: • Prompt specific changes: "Make slide 5 more visual, add our logo, use darker colors, break this into two slides" • AI adapts in real-time without breaking the entire design • Export as PDF or editable PPT if you need final tweaks • Create multiple versions for different audiences (investor vs. team vs. board) with one prompt
How to use this approach: • Stop thinking in "PowerPoint mode" - just talk through what you need to communicate • Let AI handle structure, design, and visuals while you focus on the message • Use for everything: strategy decks, board updates, investor pitches, team presentations, client proposals • Build a library of successful decks and prompt: "Use the same style as my Q4 deck"
Pro tip: Most people waste 6-10 hours on presentations because they're simultaneously writing, designing, and finding images. That's three different skill sets fighting for attention. With Manus, you just dump your thoughts and let AI handle the rest. At Nutré, I used to block entire afternoons to build investor decks. Now I record a 10-minute voice note during my morning walk, Manus has a draft by lunch, and I spend 20 minutes refining instead of 6 hours building from scratch. I'll literally never open PowerPoint again.
Bonus move: Create a "brand template" in Manus with your colors, fonts, and logo placement. Then every deck you create automatically matches your brand without you thinking about it. Your decks will look more consistent than if you hired a designer, and you'll save 40+ hours per quarter you'd normally waste formatting slides.
🍽️ WHAT'S COOKING
The Nutre rebrand is getting even closer. The new branding and colors look so much better; it's almost painful to go to our website and see how it looks right now.
It's crazy how just tweaking your design and colors can make such a difference in the way people see your brand. Stay tuned for it.
